Hyena v6.5 includes a variety of new features, including:

Hyena now includes an ADSI Edit-like option to directly access and manage Active Directory attributes. But unlike ADSI Edit, Hyena's interface is simple, powerful, and can handle multiple AD objects at the same time. If you need to:
...modify a custom attribute, but can't get access to the attribute in standard GUI property dialogs ?
...modify the department attribute for a few hundred users ?
...append a single fax number to all users in a departmental OU ?

If any of these cases apply to you, or if you are managing a large or complex AD domain, this is a must-have feature!

New options to visually view indirect group members that are included from nested or local groups. Being able to view and manage indirect members provides for improved security and administration, especially for large AD installations.


A new 'Deletion Confirmation' process has been added to Hyena, to ensure that what gets deleted is actually what you expected. This new confirmation will visually show all objects selected for deletion, instead of the standard confirmation popup.
